At 416 Fitness Club we are committed to lifelong learning and sharing knowledge. Every time your coach explains WHY we’re doing a particular workout, your own learning curve goes up. We often insist that most 416 members know more about fitness than most local Personal Trainers. Go ahead and test the theory.
The science behind our coaching is usually revealed only to our coaches. There’s a rhyme and reason to everything we do. But some members would like to know MORE, and we can’t blame them.
For the first time ever, we are offering the 416 Internship program. The program started about 1 month ago, you may have noticed some familiar faces lingering in the shadows observing coaches and classes. The interns are mostly members who have shown great interest in coaching.
The goal of our internship program is to teach participants how to become knowledgeable, approachable and friendly CrossFit instructors while maintaining an air of fun and learning.
Throughout the program, the participants will go through three phases.
The first is the observing Phase, which all our interns are currently in. During this phase, they will be observing classes, personal training and basics sessions to get a true feel for all things coaching. Trying to get a feel for the intricacies of coaching and developing relationships with athletes.
In Phase 2, our interns will assist 416 coaches with classes and 1-on-1 sessions. This will allow them to practice what they learned in phase 1 under the watchful eye of our established coaches.
Finally, in Phase three interns will take the lead during classes and 1-on-1 sessions. This phase our interns will put all of the knowledge they have learned over the first two phases into practice while being able to develop their personal coaching style.
We are all incredibly excited to watch these interns grow in their confidence and abilities. Please be sure to welcome Whitney, Marta, Marino, and Regan!
