During the Functional Bodybuilding classes we’ll break down each movement with precision, ensuring you move with proper technique while building strength, mobility, and endurance; hypertrophy (Muscle Growth) is just icing on the cake.
This class is for anyone looking to improve their foundational movements, enhance muscle control, and prevent injury by slowing down and focusing on form. This class is great to take a break from the metcons and build more mind muscle connection. We will see more unilateral movements, single joints movements and sometimes in much higher volumes. The movements that are not often seen in the regular CrossFit classes.
The workout during this class will not be a race against the clock, however we will have some time based and max repped intensity. Above all else, we will prioritize controlled reps, mindful engagement of muscles, and gradual progression.
By working on proper mechanics, more unilateral and single joint movements will help with overall performance in CrossFit classes while also preventing injuries. Whether you’re looking to perfect your squat, refine your press, or master your deadlift, or get a good pump, this class will help you develop a deeper understanding of your body and movement pattern leading to better results in and out of the gym!
